Every part was researched, triple-verified, and installed or overseen by a builder and tuner with direct hands-on experience building JDM legends: first and second generation Mitsubishi Evos, Nissan R32 and R33 GT-Rs, and Audi R8. He knows every bolt in this car. This is one of the cleanest you'll find with this level of performance and reliability. In US or elsewhere.
Why I Am Selling
I had an ischemic stroke in 2021. I can no longer race or do contact sports. This car was built for exactly that purpose. It deserves an owner who will use what it was built to do. The right buyer should get a machine like this at a fair price rather than me looking at it sitting.

Transmission: Why the 4EAT P2V1
Most people assume the 5MT is better. They are wrong for this application. The 4EAT P2V1 handles approximately 500 HP and splits torque 45/55 front/rear, similar to the STI manual. See xcceleration.com/4EAT-101.htm.

How to Drive It

  • Redline shifts under boost: stamp the throttle in one quick firm motion
  • Drive with left-foot braking
  • Launch at 3,600 RPM for maximum torque converter lockup
  • Daily: D range for early upshifts and fuel economy
  • Spirited/corners: 2nd range, then manually shift to 3rd

ECU Reset and Transmission Training

  1. Unplug the negative battery cable.
  2. Press the brake pedal three times to discharge capacitors.
  3. Reconnect the negative cable.
  4. Start the car. Drive in 1st gear, revving to redline for approximately 5 minutes.
  5. Drive aggressively through all ranges. Resets adaptive ECU learning and trains the transmission for this tune and valve body.
Engine

Block

  • EJ257 semi-closed deck, destroked, higher compression, higher RPM ceiling. TD04 and build correctly matched to this displacement.
  • Killer B Motorsport oil baffle and pickup combo, large oil pump

  • Correctly tuned to max out ID1050x injector limits with a precise map

  • Flex fuel capable: more boost on E85 via fuel enrichment, not timing retard
  • Conservative on 93 octane for pump-gas reliability
  • Speed-density (MAP-based): no MAF
  • Previous EJ205: ~320 WHP / 380 TQ, 0-60 in 4 seconds on E85. Current EJ257/S20V build is definitively more powerful.
  • Revs to approximately 8,000 to 9,000 RPM

Break-In
